Bull’s Forehead Hill

Narrator, his voice pebble on pebble, rolling down a grade

Two thousand pound hill with a gigantic cock. Times
A few hundred thousand. Teeming, dolphin
Necked, patched with a sand saddle, deuce of rivers
Cable link into each other’s rattler’s jaws in front
Of it, runaway
Current sand slab downshifting against the bluff,
Then mooching east. A heron works
The dusk, crackle of shadows.
Antelope.
