I think it better than in times like these
如今这世道,我看写诗的
    A poet's mouth be silent, for in truth
    还是闭嘴为好。说实在的,
        We have no gift to set a stateman right;
        我们哪有匡正政治的天份。
He has had enough of meddling who can please
要取悦那年少无聊的姑娘,
    A young girl in the indolence of her youth,
    或安慰冬夜里的老人,——
        Or an old man upon a winter's night.
         这已经足够我们操劳。
