谁都不是一座岛屿，

No man is an island,

自成一体；

Entire of itself;

A part of the main.

Europe is the less,

As well as if a promontory were:

Any man's death diminishes me,

Because I am involved in mankind.

And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls;

为谁而鸣；丧钟为你而鸣。

It tolls for thee.
