Thank God we cast

感谢上帝我们在

A spot of shadow in our lives,

我们的生活中投下一星影斑，

Said the Mahabharata bride,

摩诃婆罗多新娘说，

Facing five versions of her groom---

面对她新郎的五个面相——

Your man himself plus four male gods,

你的男人自己加上四个男神，

Four dead-spit images,self-xeroxed in his shape---

四幅如出一辙的图像，影印他的造型——

Who recognised that heartbeat,

谁认得出那声心跳，

The man she'd have to part with

她将不得不在他的地狱

By the shadow at his hell. Gods don't go round
