The Club Level—on the ninth floor—

is a privilege for those who stay

above the eighth.

From there, you overlook all of Riyadh:

窗外是清澈的泳池

hazy and grey,

员工眼神干净，用水龙

like the eyes

清洗已经很洁净的地砖

of the guests on the Club Level.

再回到顶层的时候

Downstairs, I go to the first-floor restaurant

窗外的泳池远远的

for breakfast.

像深嵌在石灰岩里的宝石

Outside the window, a clear swimming pool.

周围是那些灰色的

A staff member, eyes clean and focused,

从未被清洁的

uses a hose to rinse

高处的屋顶

already spotless tiles.

Back on the top floor again,

the pool outside looks distant,

like a gemstone

set in limestone.

Surrounding it, those grey

never-cleaned

rooftops of the high places.
